East Yorks: Haltemprice and Howden MP David Davis is urging residents in flood-risk areas to make the most of a the Government’s repair and renew grant regime.

People can apply for assistance for measures such as new driveway barriers, replacing doors and windows with water-resistant alternatives and moving electricity sockets to a safer level.

Hull: Following a story published earlier this week, the Mail would like to clarify that members of staff at Hull College whose contracts are being transferred to Rhino Training, based in Glasgow, will not be moving to the Scottish city as part of the deal.
