New target is “no compulsory redundancies”
Following the announcement by BAE that 218 further jobs are to be mitigated, David said that the new target of the Brough campaign- which has been spearheaded by local MPs and the Unite union- was for no compulsory redundancies at the site.
David appeared on both BBC Look North and ITV’s Calendar news following the happy announcement and made clear that the maintenance of these jobs meant that the Brough site would retain a proper manufacturing capacity.
