David Davis has welcomed 50 new jobs at Cablescan in Brough as part of the Ministry of Defence’s advancement of the Scout Specialist Vehicle (Scout SV) armoured vehicle programme.

David Davis said:

“I am delighted that the MOD’s Scout Specialist Vehicle programme has brought 50 new jobs to Brough. This is a significant expansion for Cablescan, coming close to doubling their workforce from 70 to 120. It is excellent to see local businesses winning contracts and taking on new staff.

Cablescan also have a strong reputation for training their staff up and giving them opportunities to study for qualifications. By doing this they offer people a great opportunity to learn a trade and develop their skills, which can lead to the beginnings of a long and successful career.”
