David appears on the BBC’s Sunday Politics
David appeared on the BBC’s Sunday Politics show, talking about the proposed increase in Britain’s contributions to the IMF as part of ongoing attempts to solve the eurozone crisis.
David set out his view that continual bailouts of ailing eurozone economies are ineffective without the devaluation that only a departure from the euro can bring. Indeed, he says, present ‘remedies’ to the crisis are merely creating ‘zombie economies’ and risking even greater economic catastrophe in the future. As such, he makes clear that he will vote against any increase in British contributions to the IMF.
In David’s view, the eurozone must now be dismantled in an orderly fashion if the European economy is to recover its health.
