David appears on BBC Radio Humberside’s David Burns show
David appeared on BBC Radio Humberside’s David Burns show to discuss the recent Civitas report into the BAe Brough site.
The report, based on a three-month analysis of the potential of the site, found that redundacies could be considerably mitigated if BAE did more to attract alternative businesses to the site. The Brough workers are ‘highly skilled’ and an ‘asset to any company’, the report concludes.
David made clear that the best people to sell the business case for the site is BAe itself, a well-respected manufacturing corporation with excellent contacts. He went on to say that it was important that BAe remembered that it has a certain responsibility to the Brough community, especially given the company’s close relationship with government and history of conscientious employment policies.
