David appeared on the Peter Levy show to discuss the issue of wind turbines after more than a hundred MPs, including himself, signed a letter by Chris Heaton-Harris MP calling for a reduction in the £400m of subsidies each year which currently support their construction.
David was more than 100 MPs to sign a letter to the Prime Minister calling for a reduction in government subsidies for ‘inefficient and intermittent’ onshore wind turbines. The letter, organised by Chris Heaton-Harris MP, calls for government support to be transfered to more ‘reliable renewable energy production’ and ‘energy efficiency measures’.
David featured in the Hull Daily Mail, voicing his support for a scheme which will allow people to donate to their favoured charities via text message. David said that ”this new scheme will help local charities benefit from something as simple as sending a text message”.
